Here is a four-steps plan to restore digestive health – it’s called the 4 ‘R’ Program. The general description of the plan to get you started:
- REMOVE – Create a healthier diet by removing common allergy-producing foods like wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, corn & soy. Reduce your exposure to chemicals by choosing organic foods and skin care products free of fragrances and dyes. Drink clean, filtered water. Eliminate pathogens like E. coli, Candida, and parasites.
- REPLACE – Provide basic supplemental support of hydrochloric acid, pancreatic enzymes and bile
- RE-INOCULATE – Introduce beneficial bacteria. The most common strains are Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium and Saccharomyces boulardii
- REPAIR – Provide specific nutrients designed to repair the integrity of the mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract. Nutrients such as L-glutamine, N-acetyl glucosamine, Zinc and Vitamin D are very useful.
